High School Bands

HIGH SCHOOL BANDS

♪ Marching Band:  The Greyhound Marching Band is truly “the pride of the Eaton Rapids community” and performs at home football games, parades, marching festivals, contests and other special events.  This is a scheduled class during the 1st trimester.

♪ Jazz Band:  This instrumental ensemble develops and broadens musical abilities of students interested in jazz, pop, rock, etc.  This is a scheduled class during the normal school day. 

♪ Wind Symphony:  This instrumental ensemble provides advanced musicians with opportunities to perform literature of a high difficulty level.  This is a scheduled class during the normal school day in the 2nd and 3rd trimesters.

♪ Wind Ensemble:  This select instrumental ensemble provides advanced musicians with more opportunities to play difficult literature than available in Wind Symphony.  This is a scheduled class during the normal school day in the 2nd and 3rd trimesters.

♪ Pit Orchestra:  This small ensemble provides the music backdrop for the spring high school musical.  Membership is based on instrumental needs.  Rehearsals are held after school, usually beginning in late-March.
