Support our bands by your contributions to the General Band Program Fund or Individual Student Accounts.

GENERAL BAND PROGRAM FUND

Monetary Gifts:  Financial donations of any size are always greatly appreciated.  A business sponsorship towards the fall marching show is an excellent way to support our Greyhound Band Program and also receive community publicity.  Contact the Band Booster president to learn more.

Photo Gallery SalesPurchase photos from the Photo Gallery as a lasting memory and our photographer will donate a portion of the profit to the General Band Program Fund.  Click here to learn how you can order photos and support Band Boosters at the same time.

Concert CD Sales:  Each concert band performance is recorded, including solos and small group performances.  Order a CD the night of the concert for your enjoyment.  These make excellent gifts and are a wonderful memory of your student’s band participation.

Sweet Corn Sales:  Buy your Pray’s sweet corn downtown this summer!  Look for the vegetable carts on main street during sweet corn season.

INDIVIDUAL STUDENT ACCOUNTS

Each band family has a “student account” established when a student enters the 5th grade band program.  The account receives ‘deposits” for monies raised through fundraising activities where profits are identified for individual student accounts.   Family payments for uniforms, band camp and other individual expenses are also deposited into the account.   Band expenses for which the student is responsible for can be taken as a withdrawal from the  student account at any time.  Contact Tina Reasoner to request the current balance of your student account.

STUDENT ACCOUNT FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES

Scrip:  Scrip is the easiest way to earn money for your student's band account and costs you nothing than what you would normal spend.  Recruit some friends and family to purchase also.  You will be surprised how it adds up!  When you purchase scrip, you're purchasing prepaid cards and certifications that are used just like cash — just like a store gift card.  You can use scrip to purchase everyday expenses like food, clothing and other essentials.  When a vendor contributes 4% or under of your total purchase, the total contribution goes into your student account.  When a vendor contributes 5% or more of your total purchase, 1% goes to the Band Booster’s General Fund and the rest into your student account.  A list of participating retailers is available at www.glscrip.comPlease do not hesitate to contact Juli Luttrell at 517-663-3573 or erbandscrip@hotmail.com if you have any questions.

Ordering Scrip:  Place your order with directly with Great Lakes Scrip on the internet.  Go to www.glscrip.com and then shopwithscrip.com which is on the home page.  You will need to register with your email address, name, address, etc.  Enter our organization number 6A5C6B91485  and our password Greyhounds on the next pages.  Placing an order is very self-explanatory after you have signed in.  You can also see how much of a percentage that retailer is giving.  Orders placed by Sunday noon will be available for pickup on Thursday after 3pm of the same week.

Meijer Rewards Program:  Changes were made to this program by Meijer in May 2007.  See the May newsletter on the Band Booster web page for details.  The Meijer Rewards program donates a percentage of what you spend at any Meijer store to your band account.  You can also link cards.  If a person signs up and has their card linked to yours, their earnings go into your student account.    Click on www.meijer.com/rewards to enroll in this program.  The band organization number is 442269.    Band Booster member Kris Ziemer will be happy to answer any of your questions.  She can be reached by calling 646-7903 or email kziemer@aol.com.  Also let Kris know if you have a different last name than your student, or if you have a common last name so the correct student account get credited.
